Jayashree, a 41 yr old married woman, a mother of two school going children, has a problem in one of her heart valves and she needed an urgent operation. She was admitted in CARE Hospital, Banjara Hills. 5 lakhs are required for the operation and her family is poor. Her siblings and other relatives pooled up 1 1/2 lakh.

On behalf of the group, we gave Rs. 65,000 to Sri Sarvepalli Sivakumar, husband of Jayashree. We gave the money in two instalments - Rs. 45, 000 + Rs. 20,000.
