Prasanthi got the news on 8th of November from Sudha. Ramesh had a double heart attack 28th September. He was kept on external support systems but recommended stent treatment after discovering multiple vessel block in angiogram. We were told that the operation cost is Rs. 1, 40,000 and they could collect Rs. 1,15,000 and they have to pay Rs. 25,000. The patient got operated on 3rd of November.

Prasanthi's colleagues, Satyakrishna's colleagues and Karthik's colleagues and some of our TMAD members contributed Rs. 12,100. Sudha gave Rs. 500. The total amount pledged for this case is Rs. 12, 600.

Prasanthi spoke with Sudha and she came to know that it was referred by Sri Vennelaganti Prasad whom she knew for the past 6 years. She then rang to Prasad and he told her that it was his cousin, Madhavapeddi Sai Srinivas, who told about the patient and gave his number. She rang to Srinivas and he told that the patient is the cook who works for his best friend and thats how he came to know about the case.

Prasanthi rang to the hospital in the evening and found that the patient got discharged on 7th of November. She was told by the billing dept. that the actual cost is Rs. 1, 93, 324 and not Rs.1,40,000.

We generally pay to the hospital and do not give cash to the patient. We will see the best possible way to use this money for the patient.
